Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an interesting background to the Cambodia casinos that reside just across the border from nearby Thailand, in which gambling den gaming is illegal. Eight casinos are situated in a relatively tiny space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling halls is in a perfect destination, a 3 to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest gambling centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai laborers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing capital accrued from the gambling dens ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a few restrictions requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mostly Thai; although, investment sources are cryptic. The borders are formally open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and although visas are for all intents and purposes necessary to pass, there are means around this, as is accurate of most border crossings.

The first Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving just 1 casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary bateau gambling den, contains one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and sixty table games. The Naga gambling hall never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of 21, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly followed. A total of one hundred and fifty slot machine games and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and 68 tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights 300 slot machines and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machines and 66 of the normal table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight casinos in Poipet, again a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around resort and hotel building that highlights many luxuries accompanying the casino, which houses 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 one armed bandits and eighty eight gaming tables.
